"Mention Miami in the context of contemporary art and many instantly think of Art Basel Miami Beach, the massive fair that annually descends on the coastal strip just outside that southern metropolis. But those with a real drive to find adventurous art know that treasures await at a pair of other events not far from that behemoth. NADA and Untitled have a proven record of bringing some of the most daring artists and galleries to the Sunshine State, offering visitors a chance to discover outsize talent before the mainstream does. And while both fairs were tamer this year than they have been in the past, there was still plenty to celebrate.
